CLEANING METHODS

A - Use aqueous detergents, or dilute two tablespoons of ammonia in one litre of water. Gently dab the stain with a cloth dampened with this solution, turning it so that only the clean part is in contact with the stain.

B - Use only dry cleaning solvents or non-aggressive, pure and free of water solutions. Dampen a cloth with the solution and follow the procedure described in the above A method.

QUICK STRAIN REMOVAL GUIDE

Grease, oil - Follow the B method.

Chocolate, coffee - Dab with a sponge dampened with warm water.

Wine, milk, soft drinks - Follow the A method.

Wax, candle - Remove gently the wax with a dull knife or a spatula. Follow the B method.

Fruit - Use a sponge dampened with cold water.

Ink - Treat with alcohol following the instructions described in A method.

Mud - Remove as much dirt as possible gently with a spatula. Let dry, then aspirate. If the stain persists, use the ammonia solution described in the A method.

Urine, sweat - Use method A, followed by application of a small quantity of liquid detergent containing ammonia.

Vomit - Remove carefully the vomit, dab with a sponge dampened with cold water, and follow the instructions described in A method.
